I was once quoted as saying I'd rather run in the heat than get up early. I will eat my words! 107 sweltering degrees out today! Really? I am starting to rethink this "Sweet Carolina" living.
One Thursday evening I felt like I was going to die during my 5 mile run, and my time showed it also. That Saturday I got up early and ran 10 miles, I wasn't even tired when I finished! Honestly I was amazed at how different I felt without the heat and humidity.
Here are some things I have learned about running in the heat.

Here are some things I have learned about running in the heat.
- It takes about 2 weeks for your body to adjust to the heat.
- Running at the same time everyday will help with this adjustment.
- HYDRATE! Make sure to drink while you are running. At least 4 oz every 20 minutes.
- Weigh yourself before and after you run; if you lost weight you did not drink enough.
These are just a few basics. If you want to read more running tips let me know. If you have any to add to the list email me at liamfudgeATyahooDOTcom
