Back in Town

Well we got back from our trip to MI LATE LATE Sunday night.

And was promptly thrown back into life Monday morning with a babysitting gig.
Liam and I got to hang out with this lovely lady all day Monday.
"want play my mater swoan"

And
Liam did so well... but maybe Brian should have thought about if he wanted to have another child before I was sent to the grocery store with a 2 year old and 3 month old.

Tuesday was followed up with story time at the library!  I LOVE how interested this child is in books.

And the computer time afterward isn't so bad.

Hopefully the rest of our week is  as good as the beginning.

The Mind of a Two Year Old

Remember Liam's OCD/ Autistic Tendencies?  He was at it again last night.  This time he brought along some friends.  Grandma, Daddy and the table next to us in the restaurant.
Liam took whatever chairs were empty around us and lined them all up for his train.

Grandma was encouraging him at every step.  And Daddy wanted to join in on the fun too.
Here they are CHOO CHOO

The best part of the dinner was when the table next to us brought out a birthday cake.  Happy Birthday is one of Liam's favorite song.  I am pretty sure I have a birthday at least twice a week according to him.  So he went over to say happy birthday.  They were so nice and even oferred him a piece of cake.  {I said he probably wouldn't eat it.  WHAT WAS I THINKING} They let Liam look at the cake and he tried to touch it.  When we told him he couldn't touch it he came back to our table and climbed up on my lap.  {I should have known something was up}  He asked for a fork and then walked right back over to the other table for cake.

Everyone had a good laugh and Liam got a piece of cake.  And I was so proud of him for his manners!  He did remember to say Thank you when they handed him his cake!

Happy Father's Day

Liam and I made this banner for Brian.  I have finally put to work that cricut machine I bought last year.  I have used it a few times for school.  But I do need some more projects to really justify that purchase!  Any ideas?

What did you do for the special father?

Random Thoughts

WHEN DID 30 BECOME OLD?

A few weeks ago I dropped Liam off at the sitter's and I saw it.  My old dollhouse!  Of course in a house full of boys in was a parking garage for their cars.
I had to get down on the floor for closer inspection.  It was just like my old dollhouse!
I told Lettie I used to have the house.  She bought it at a flee market.
I had to research this a little more.  THIS IS WHERE I BECOME OLD.  I found the house is being sold on ETSY as VINTAGE.
HELLO SWEET SUMMER VACAY!

I never thought this day would get here!!!
Don't get me wrong- I had a wonderful class this year.  I would have to flip a coin but probably my best class yet.  But it was definately the longest most stressful year of teaching.

MY NEW MACHINE

I bought an embroidery machine about a month ago. The first thing I made was a Big Sis/Lil' Bro/ Lil' Sis set for a friend.  She is having her baby tomorrow- they don't know what they are having.

I took those to work to show off my handy work and sold another shirt to a co-worker!
(sorry it wasn't oriented this way in my folder)

OUR TRIP TO CALI

Brian and I went to California last weekend for a wedding.

Liam stayed in Carolina with his Tia.  We missed him like crazy!  Lucky Mary is a good Tia and sent us lots of pictures and skyped with us.

The wedding was beautiful

The time difference was difficult

Harder for some some of us...

But over all.  California was gorgeous!
