Mobile

If you liked the last photo sequence check this one out.

Only missing the initial photo I didn't know to take when I put her down!

I realize you should not compare children, but it is amazing to me how different she is from Liam.

Between 4-5 months Liam began sitting up, Aubrey is no where close to that.
I commented on this picture on Facebook when it was posted that he had been sitting up for 3 weeks when I took this.  Not 100% of the time without fail, but he could definitely hold himself up for a period of time.

Liam never rolled or scooted at this age.  Of course we have no idea how much pain he was already in at this point, or how big the tumor was, if there was already a tumor.  So many factors about Liam's first few months we don't know how or when it began to effect him.

Is Aubrey crawling at 4 months?  No.
Is she consciously moving?  No.  She is not trying to move toward anything or for any reason, but I am sure it won't be long before she figures out what she is doing and we are in TROUBLE!

Fall Fun

I am reminded daily how lucky I am Brian chose me to have his children.  I am so thankful to have a first hand view of what a fun father my children have.  I pray they truly appreciate what a wonderful father they have.

Dear Nemesis

November 19th, we meet again.

You tried to break me, but I was stronger.

I will never forget you, you have changed my life, but you changed it for the better.

My hero has came out on top of you.

November 19th, you will not win.

November 19th, 2010... The day we were told "its cancer"  The day we will never forget.  The day that did not win.

Family Photos

Okay, so I obviously wasn't planning on sharing these.  Not that I wasn't ever planning on sharing them, I assumed I would when they were taken, but then Aubrey came early and I didn't even see these pictures until after she arrived and thought well what's the point of sharing them now.

But recently I started thinking about them again, and I didn't want maternity photos taken per se, I had wanted one last family photo session to remember our family as it was before adding another child.  So with that thought, here was our family photos as of June.

Thank you to our fabulous photographer, Candy Howard.  We absolutely recommend her if you are in the Charlotte area.

Swimming Update

While at Liam's swim lesson yesterday I realized I hadn't updated how he was doing since the first day, where I handed him screaming to the teacher.

In short, HE LOVES IT!

We have had a few changes in teachers, the first time because we switched days when Liam started preschool, the second time was a change at the swim school.  The first teacher Liam had was very nice and sweet and let him play and didn't really push him to do the lesson.  It was great for him a first; allowed him to get comfortable with the water, but I was happy when we switched days and got a new teacher.  Liam is a child who needs structure or he will take advantage.

When we switched his new teacher, Mr. Jordan (or My Gordon as Liam called him) was firm, but still nice.  Liam was expected to participate in class and this is when we really saw his "skills" grow.  Of course they are 3 year olds so there is plenty of fun too.

At the end of each lesson the deck manager rings the bell and all the children go line up at the slide and get to slide down into the water.  A teacher is at the bottom to catch them and help them out of the pool.  Liam refused to go down the slide until recently, he even hated the slide at the park, but now he is the first one in line.

So proud of my little fish.  Now we just need to think about what age to start Aubrey in lessons, we will not be waiting until 3 years old again.

Poor Neglected Blog

Oh Hi!  There you are!

I have been so tired, and honestly haven't felt too inspired to write.

Here is what we have been up to.

Last Friday and Saturday LCF Threadz went to Marketplace.
I was so busy for the 2 weeks prior, sewing, making super cute Thanksgiving shirts...  But we didn't do so well there.  It just wasn't very busy at all.  So if you know anyone in need of Thanksgiving onesies still, I have several already made!

I have been on the move!
Running has made a dramatic return to my priority list.

two other fun things that go with running.  I won 2 games of Dietbet last month and won $80! and also lost 6.6 pounds!  GO me!  I'll spare you my before and after pictures, they are both quite humiliating... maybe after this next round.

plusalso I am running another Marathon!  Rock n Roll Raleigh.  I had been telling Brian about how I wanted to sign up for race, motivate myself to keep up with the running so when a friend mentioned signing up for this race I knew I had to!

Now onto my little monsters

We have a great Halloween.  Liam was a dinosaur.  We didn't technically dress up Aubrey, but I put a fleece jacket on her from Great Grandma and everyone thought she was a cow, so WIN.

Aubrey is really becoming a happy little girl, a month ago I would have never called her a happy baby, but now all you have to do is talk to her and she will smile.

Liam is a character like always.  You can't help but laugh at him and his imagination.  "I've never transformed into a dog before"  What 3 year old using the word transform, and now it is part of his everyday vocabulary as he transforms into different creatures.
